I would just use some waist or ankle restraint so they cant reach eachother. Patients should generally not be able to interact and mess up eachother’s treatment.
Or alternatively, trying to free eachother should be seen as a sign that lighter therapy does not suit these patients and that they should be moved to the ward where girls are strapped to the bed and diapered long-term.
